The Pakenham and District Basketball Association is proud to share that our Pakenham Warriors Under 14 Girls (14.1) team has been invited to the National Club Championships, to be held this September in Willetton, Perth. This tournament is the most prestigious event on the junior basketball calendar and features the top representative teams from across Australia.
Both in winning the Junior Country Championships in April, and currently one of the strongest teams in the VJBL U14 Girls VC Competition, the invite to the Nationals is an incredible achievement for the team, Head Coach Paul Bannister and support staff.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for these incredibly talented young athletes to showcase their skills on a national stage,” said Nathan Sewell , General Manager of the Pakenham and District Basketball Association. “We’re so proud of what they’ve accomplished and excited for what lies ahead.”
The team will be running community barbecues at Pakenham Basketball as a fundraiser, as well as an up-coming Bogan Bingo evening that promises to be a whole lot of fun!
In addition, they are seeking support from local businesses and community members, including donations of goods or services for upcoming fundraising raffles.
