Under the direction of a newly elected Board of Management, we’ve developed a number of sponsorship packages which we believe will truly enable your business to gain low-cost publicity and advertising in one of Australia’s favourite sports. As in previous years, our home court at Cardinia Life, or as the basketball community call it, ‘The Colosseum’ will again host the Pakenham Warriors home games. The Pakenham Warriors are the representative side of the Pakenham & District Basketball Association (PDBA) with teams competing in a range of divisions across the state. The Victorian senior basketball league is known as ‘BIGV’ which is administered by Basketball Victoria. With over 5000 basketball members, the PDBA offers outstanding company advertising and publicity opportunities through the Warriors partnership packages. We have set high expectations and strategic goals club wide. Our teams, both on and off court, are driven and passionate about achieving new heights of success, which will ensure a bright future for the Pakenham Warriors BIGV teams.
The Senior Men are again led by Head Coach Rob Roberts, who returns to the Warriors program for his 2nd year. After an amazing 2022 season, the Senior Men have been promoted to Division 1, with the ambition of progressing through the league pyramid in the coming seasons, ever higher.
The Youth League Men are coached by Braden Venning, who is a stalwart of the Warriors program. Braden led the Youth League Men to a very strong finish in 2022 in a Championship Series and will be looking to go one step further in 2023.
The Senior Women are led by Newley appointed head coach Rob Dielemans who has come to us from NBL1 in the hope of bringing us our first women’s championship.
Finally, the Youth League Women are led by a name we all know, Ben Gaze, who has stepped up to take the reigns for this amazing team.
The continued presence of the Warriors in the BIGV has brought elite basketball to Pakenham and created promising pathways for players to develop from domestic, through to junior representative teams and then the exciting opportunity to excel in Big V and possibly beyond.
