Child Safety

At Pakenham and District Basketball Association (PDBA), the safety and wellbeing of our players, volunteers, and community are at the heart of everything we do. As part of our ongoing commitment to providing a safe and inclusive environment, please see below for the link to our Child Safe Policy as well as other important information relevant to this space.

This policy is more than a legal requirement—it reflects our core values and dedication to fostering a positive environment where children feel safe, empowered, and supported. We believe every child deserves to enjoy basketball without fear, and every parent and guardian should feel confident that their child is participating in a safe environment.

Our approach to child safety is proactive and built on clear standards, thorough risk management, and the shared responsibility of everyone involved in our association. Whether your staff, a board member, coach, volunteer, player, or parent, we all play a vital role in upholding these values and ensuring that PDBA remains a trusted space for children to learn, grow, and thrive.

We encourage you to read this policy carefully and familiarise yourself with its principles and practices. Together, we can continue to build a culture that prioritizes the safety and wellbeing of every child.

If you have any questions about the policy please contact our General Manager  on gm@pakenhambasketball.com.au
