Should this motion be passed, the next annual general meeting will see nominations for positions having to be received in writing to the Secretary at least fourteen (14) days prior to the scheduled annual general meeting being held.

Details of each of them are:-

Alan Lee
32+ years involvement with Basketball. Started originally at Keilor as a player.
I then became a referee 30+ years ago, and am involved with Basketball Victoria and the Technical Officials Commission.
I have been the Referees Advisor at Pakenham (5+ years) until appointed as President 3 years ago. I am still currently a Level 3 Referee Coach.

I have knowledge and skills for assisting other Associations before coming to Pakenham, which I will continue to offer.

Within the last 8 years, i have been involved in developing the expansion of the club in many avenues. Financially, VJBL and BigV Programs.

With my corporate experience of over 20years, I have been able to impact knowledge processes, procedures, and other business practices to the fast growing Association of the PDBA.

Over the last 3 years, I have been working heavily with Cardinia Shire to develop better working relationships with the end goal to continue, and advance the PDBA’s programs moving forward.

I was welcomed to the Pakenham Family many years ago, and wish to continue supporting and being part of the family for many years to come.
While there are new faces to the family members that I have introduced recently, the plan is to make the family a stronger one, with pathways and opportunities for the many.

There is still a lot of work to be done, and we can always do things better. I welcome all that wish to offer their time, knowledge and assist to better the PDBA for all.

AL

Penny Tielen
I have been involved in Basketball for approx. 20 years, within this time I have played and coached representative Basketball and also actively been involved on the committee for 4 years as Treasurer.
I have demonstrated an ability to optimise the balance sheet and effectively maintain liquidity within the Association.
I believe you will find my credentials to be in order and I feel would be a well-qualified candidate for the Treasurer position.

I have extensive experience in the Accounting industry. Currently Director of an Accounting/Bookkeeping business for 19 years.
– Business Accounting
– ATO Registered
– Budgets
– Financial Reporting
– Financial Forecasts

I believe the Treasurers position is responsible for ensuring that effective Financial system and procedures have been established and maintained, which I have the experience to uphold these requirements.
I would like to see Pakenham and District Basketball Association increase its members and also retain existing members.

Work on building a strong, vibrant club where our members have commitment to the organisation. Also, to increase in the skills and abilities within the club. Increase understanding and experience of diversity.
A richer club environment in which member appreciate and learn from each other backgrounds and experience, which will particularly benefit junior teams.
Increase chance of sponsorship from companies with diverse management or consumer base.
Strengthening of the community as a whole by encouraging everyone to contribute to building a stronger Association.
If you require any further information please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Yours Faithfully
Penelope Tielen.
